1. Acceptance & Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into legally binding contracts under Nigerian law to register an account. By registering as a Client or Artisan, you warrant that all information provided is accurate and truthful.
2. Independent Contractor Status (No Employment)
Important Legal Notice: Artisans registered on Artisans Finder operate as Independent Contractors and service providers. Artisans are not employees, agents, or partners of Artisans Finder.
Artisans maintain sole control over their schedule, pricing, work methods, and equipment.
Artisans Finder acts purely as a digital technology marketplace connecting clients with independent service providers.
Artisans Finder does not provide employment benefits, tax withholdings, or direct workplace supervision.
3. Bookings, Negotiations & Fees
Negotiations: Job terms, pricing, and deadlines are negotiated directly between Clients and Artisans via our in-app quote system.
Vetting & Lead Fees: Artisans may purchase credits or pay vetting/lead fees to access client job requests. All vetting and lead fees paid to Artisans Finder are non-refundable once leads are accessed.
Payments & Platform Charges: All financial transactions must be conducted through approved platform payment gateways (e.g., Paystack). Offline payments made outside the platform void platform dispute support.
4. User Conduct & Zero-Tolerance Policy
We enforce a strict code of conduct to ensure user safety and quality of service:
Fraud & Misrepresentation: Posing as another person, uploading false KYC documents, or misleading clients regarding qualifications will result in immediate permanent banning.
Harassment & Misconduct: Abusive behavior, threats, harassment, or unsafe conduct during job execution is strictly prohibited.
Off-Platform Circumvention: Solicitating clients to bypass platform fees after matching on Artisans Finder violates our terms and may lead to account suspension.
5. Limitation of Liability & Disputes
Artisans Finder exercises due care in screening artisans via identity checks (KYC); however, Artisans Finder is a marketplace provider and is not liable for property damage, personal injury, poor workmanship, or financial loss resulting from services rendered by independent artisans.
In the event of a dispute, users must first utilize our internal support and dispute resolution mechanism (Support System) before initiating external legal proceedings under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
